- The i20 facelift will get a redesigned front fascia and a rear profile
- It will continue with petrol engines only and the diesel motor will be axed
- Expect the prices of the premium hatchback to go up by a certain margin
The Hyundai i20 is one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in the market. It is loaded with features up to the brim, offers good safety and is available in multiple engine options. The new model was launched sometime back and now its facelift has been spotted testing on roads. In this article, we share everything there is to know about the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift.
The spied model here is a lower variant of the hatchback but still reveals the necessary changes it might get. The front fascia will completely be redesigned with a new-age headlight, bumper and LED daytime running lights design. The bumper could have a mesh pattern too.
Move towards the side profile and the silhouette of the hatchback remains the same. We can expect new alloy wheels design for the top-spec variants and a tweaked C-pillar design. At the rear too changes will follow and we can expect new taillight set-up along with a bumper design. Also, expect LED taillight design right from the base variant of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift.

On the inside, we can expect a newly styled dashboard design and also the addition of features too. Features like a head-up display, LED fog lamps, 360-degree camera and more can be observed with the i20 facelift. These features are currently offered by its rival, Maruti Baleno.
Mechanically, things will be altered slightly. It will continue to be powered with a 1.2L petrol and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor. The 1.5L diesel will now be axed due to the poor demand. In addition to this, India is moving towards stricter emission norms from April 2024 so bringing in a diesel engine in a smaller car only makes it an expensive affair.
