Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has taken the wraps off the 2022 Tucson, which will be unveiled for Indian customers soon. Hyundai Tucson is one of the best-selling SUV brands worldwide and will be introduced to India in the second half of this year with the 4th Generation model. The premium midsize SUV will be based on Hyundai's 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language, which will also be seen in the upcoming Creta.
Mr. Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, commented on the announcement, As Indias No. 1 SUV brand of CY2020 and CY2021, Hyundai is geared up to induce customer delight and excitement with the introduction of our global best-seller the all-new TUCSON. The upcoming Hyundai Tucson will boast revamped front fascia and all-new LED headlights. The vehicle's premium appeal will be enhanced by the parametric jewel-shaped grille, which is beautifully integrated with the LED daytime running lights. The front and back bumpers will be redesigned, and faux skid plates will be added for a sportier look.
The SUV's side profile will have a lot of sharp lines and creases all over the body, as well as huge dual-tone alloy wheels that beautifully fit the squared-out wheel arches. The LED tail lighting on the back end is another bold move by Hyundai.
Although the powertrain options for the Indian market have not been disclosed, we expect it will include a 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine. Hyundai will very certainly provide AWD on the top-spec Tucson.

The top-of-the-line model will also include several safety features such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
So that's all about the upcoming Hyundai Tucson, which will compete with the Jeep Compass, Citroen C5 Aircross, Volkswagen Tiguan, and other premium mid-size SUVs when it debuts.
