Mercedes Maybach SL Roadster Spied
However, the concept version had some radical design elements, the recently spied test mule gets the Maybach signature wheels as other Maybach badged cars. With a more conventional design language, the production-spec model gets the original essence of the Maybach and SL range. The recent test mule spotted was the convertible trim of the upcoming car which hints that it will be available in both hard top and soft top options.
Mercedes Maybach SL Roadster: Engine
The upcoming performance car is expected to source its power from a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine which already powers the Maybach AMG GT-4 and Maybach GLS. This powertrain generates the maximum power of 600 bhp and comes mated to an 8-speed Automatic and that too with the Mercedes 4Matic All-Wheel Drive system.
Rivals and India Launch
Once launched, the upcoming Mercedes Maybach SL will compete with the likes of Maserati Grancabrio, Ferrari Roma Spider and the Bentley Continental GTC. The performance car will make its way to India via the CBU route. It will probably land on Indian shores by 2025.
