Toyota has introduced the ninth-generation Camry in the global market. The Camry stands as one of the most sought-after sedans globally, including in the Indian market. In this new iteration, it features a completely redesigned front profile, updated interiors, and is exclusively equipped with a hybrid engine. 2025 Toyota Camry
The Camry boasts an expanded lower front grille, chic LED headlamps, streamlined LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and updated tail lamps. Introducing new color options for this generation, such as Ocean Gem and Heavy Metal, the palette also features Ice Cap, Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, Supersonic Red, Celestial Silver Metallic, Underground, and Reservoir Blue. Additionally, minor enhancements have been applied to the alloy wheel design.
The SE and XSE trims showcase a sporty exterior design characterized by a streamlined roofline and a sculpted body. These sport grades are equipped with functional aerodynamic air ducts, front-side canards, and a rear diffuser inspired by racing aesthetics. The rear of the vehicle features an exposed dual-tip exhaust and a rear lip spoiler, contributing to its dynamic and athletic appearance.
Equipped with standard 18-inch multi-spoke black-finished alloy wheels for SE grades and standard 19-inch multi-spoke black and smoke gray-finished alloy wheels for the XSE.

The XSE grades offer an optional two-tone appearance, featuring Ocean Gem, Wind Chill Pearl, Heavy Metal, and Supersonic Red combined with a Midnight Black Metallic roof.
The premium XLE grade marks a milestone for the Toyota Camry as it introduces leather and Dinamica microfiber-trimmed seats, available in Light Gray or Black. A quilted pattern in this material is also present on the front door panels and dashboard.
The ninth gen Camry only gets a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with electric motors. The front-wheel-drive model is equipped with two electric motors, delivering a combined power of 225bhp. In contrast, the AWD variant includes a third motor on the rear axle, achieving a total power output of 232 bhp. The vehicle is equipped with an eCVT transmission.
Verdict
The powertrain of the 2025 Toyota Camry marks a notable evolution from its predecessor. Although the official timeline for its release in India has not been disclosed by the brand, it is anticipated that an official announcement regarding the Indian launch will be made around 2024.
