In a recent update from Kia India, they have upgraded the safety features of their best-selling SUVs, Sonet and Seltos. The new models now get four airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard fitment. Kia also hiked the prices of both the SUVs when the new financial year kicked in.
Earlier, the base and mid variants of these SUVs were offered with dual airbags at the front but now they also get front side airbags. Similarly, the tyre pressure monitoring system that was seen in the top-spec variants now comes as standard across all trims.
The HTK+ and variants ahead of Kia Sonet now get electronic stability control, vehicle stability management and hill assist control. Mind you, these features are limited to the turbo petrol iMT variants only. If you want a diesel Sonet then all these safety features will be available from HTX and above.

Sharing the changes on the Kia Seltos then this mid-size SUV gets tweaked suspension to improve the ride quality and comfort of the passengers according to the Indian standard. Earlier, the suspension set-up was on a stiffer side. The design of the wheelcovers is now changed and also gets the Kia logo at the centre.
Kia is also offering the HTK+ diesel variant with an iMT gearbox and the 6-speed AT can now be had with the HTX trim. Like the Sonet it gets TPMS and four airbags as standard but it also gets all-wheel disc brakes, ESC, HAC, VSM and more. Earlier, the GTX+ and X-line variants of the Seltos received six airbags but now they are carried to the HTX+ and GTX(O) too.
Similarly, the DCT, IVT and AT set-up that are fully automatic variants now receive paddle shifters as standard along with traction and drive modes. These features were only available in the top-spec variants of the Kia Seltos earlier. Like the Sonet, the Seltos too get a redesigned nameplate that syncs with the Kia logo.
