Kia revealed the Kia Sonet a few days ago and the car impressed every one of us with its aggressive and a sporty design language. To be available in two versions, GT Line and Tech Line, the car will be launched in coming few weeks and is expected to be priced under Rs 7 lakh bracket for the base variant. Ahead of the launch of the car, we have access to the Kia Sonet brochure. Check out all the details about the specifications and features of the upcoming car.
Starting with the powertrain options on offer, the Kia Sonet will be available with four different options for the buyers to choose from. The first engine includes a 1.2-L Smart Stream naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out 83 PS and 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine will come mated to a 5-Speed MT only. The second engine on offer is the 1.0-L Smart Stream turbocharged petrol engine which delivers 120 Ps and 172 Nm of max torque. This engine will be available exclusively with the GT Line variant and can be had with a 6-speed iMT or with a 7-Speed DCT. Moving on to the diesel engine now, the first diesel engine on offer is a 1.5-L CRDi WGT diesel engine that churns out 100 Ps and 240 Nm of peak torque and features a fixed geometry turbocharger. This can only be had with a 6-Speed MT. The other diesel engine on offer is a 1.5-L CRDI VGT engine that churns out 115 Ps and 250 Nm maximum torque. A 6-speed AT will come mated with this engine.

With this being sorted, let us move on to the features list on offer. The Kia Sonet will offer a number of segment-first features such as front seat ventilation. IN addition to that, the car is also getting a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Apart from this, the Kia Sonet also features an electric sunroof and wireless mobile charging to add on to the overall feel-good factor.
Other features of the car include Air purifier with inbuilt display, UVO connect, Tyre pressure monitoring and front parking sensors in addition to full LED headlamps and tail lamps. The GT line variant also features some exclusive features such as Traction Control, Drive Modes, etc. In terms of safety, in addition to a well-buiilt body structure, the Kia Sonet will feature ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, speed alert, and rear parking sensors as standard across the line-up while the higher variants may also get features like traction control, added airbags, and ISOFIX mounts.
As per the Kia Sonet Brochure, the car will be available in eleven different exterior colour options to choose from while there will also be four different alloy wheel designs on offer, depending upon the variant you choose.
