2024 Kia Sonet Facelift Spied Testing In India For The First Time- Details

The Kia Sonet facelift, spotted abroad, has now been captured in India for the first time. A mid-cycle update, it encompasses comprehensive changes to both exterior and interior elements. The inclusion of potential segment-first features is expected to enhance the SUV's appeal to potential buyers. While the launch is not anticipated for this year, Kia could potentially consider an earlier release.

Kia Sonet Facelift: The Rivalry Is Cooking

Considering Tata and Mahindra's plans to introduce updated Nexon and XUV300 models with enhanced features. The addition of new features could bolster Sonet's Facelift competitive edge against rivals like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300. And since Tata Nexon and XUV300 Facelifts are nearing their launch towards the end of 2023, Kia Sonet is planning to crash their party around that timeline as well.

New Styling And Features Incoming

The upcoming Sonet facelift is getting significant styling updates primarily at the front and rear. Notable changes include new headlights accompanied by elongated DRLs that extend to the lower bumper section. The refreshed bumper design and potential alterations to the front grille are expected to contribute to a more dynamic and sporty appearance. While the side profile is likely to remain largely unchanged, the possibility of introducing new colors with the facelift can not be negated as well. The test mule, even on the sides, is concealed, still leaving room for anticipation.

While the door paneling remains largely unchanged, a closer look reveals that the Sonet facelift retains several familiar design elements. Additionally, the alloy wheels maintain their existing design. However, expect changes to the alloy design at its launch. Notably, this specific test mule is equipped with distinctive red brake calipers, hinting at a GT trim.

The rear is fully wrapped in covers and exudes a similar body frame. However, a new tail lamp assembly and retweaked bumper is making their way. On top of this, a connected LED beam at the rear is highly likely.

Interior Upgrades

Talking about the upgrades on the inside, there are major changes coming in. Taking inspiration from the bigger sibling, Seltos, a 10.25 -inch dual-screen dashboard set-up can be expected. Even in its current form, Kia Sonet is heavy on tech. It comes with features like a Bose audio system, front-ventilated seats, a wireless charger, and a smart air purifier. Powertrain
