Mahindra and Mahindra, one of the largest car manufacturer in India will bring as many as 18 vehicles to the upcoming Auto Expo. The manufacturer will showcase a range of products powered by the internal combustion engines as well as electrified vehicles to the Indian market. One of the biggest reveals by the brand at the 2020 Auto Expo will be the all-new Mahindra XUV300 EV and the XUV500 EV.
Mahindra will focus on electric mobility at the 2020 Auto Expo. It will showcase the production version of the KUV100 EV, which has become a much-awaited vehicle. The compay will also showcase the Mahindra XUV300 EV, which will take on the Nexon EV directly and will offer a range of about 300 km. Mahindra is also expected to put a price tag of around Rs 14-15 lakhs on the XUV300 EV.
There will be an EV version of the XUV500 too. While the ICE-version of the all-new XUV500 may not be showcased at the Auto Expo, we will get an idea of what the car will look like in the future.
Since the all-new generation of the Scorpio, Thar and the XUV500 are pending and will be launched later this year. Mahindra is expected to showcase the petrol engine and diesel engine that will power the next-generation Mahindra vehicles. We will get to see the all-new 2.0-litre engine that will generate about 170 PS and an all-new petrol engine that will be BS6 compliant.
Mahindra will showcase the all-new Thar at a later date in the Indian market. It was earlier expected that the all-new Thar will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, however, it will be showcased at a separate event.
There will be a slew of modified vehicles at the Mahindra stall at the 2020 Expo just like previous editions of the Expo. We may also get to see heavily modified versions of the Mahindra XUV300. Also, expect to see some really futuristic concept vehicles like the XUV500 Aero, which was showcased at the previous Auto Expo.
