- Mahindra XUV300 facelift spotted testing
- Coming with major upgrades
- To launch sometime in 2024
If you've been following up on the news lately, you probably know that the Mahindra XUV300 facelift is currently under testing. And this time around the changes are not so subtle. However, with the spy shots already covered by us, we will look at all the things that we know about the XUV300 facelift and what more to expect from it.
Read on to find out what the newer model will have in store for you.
1. A Fresh Design Upfront
What is visible clearly in the spy shots of the test mule is how the carmaker is changing the upcoming XUV300. Even though the test vehicle was fully camouflaged, the front and rear profile carries refreshed styling. The headlamps seem to be following the footsteps of the Mahindra XUV700. Looking at the rear profile, the cutouts for the taillamps and tailgate express some new cuts and creases. All this indicates that the new facelifted version will be a refresh of the current design language.
2. Updated Modern Interiors

The cabin of the XUV300 has started to feel a bit dated. Even more so when we compare it with its cotemporaries like the Kia Sonet or Tata Nexon. Although no shots of the interiors are yet clicked, the reports suggest that the interior is getting an all-new feel. It is supposedly coming with updated upholstery, a bigger infotainment screen, and more. As the cabin feels a bit dated, expect a more modern space inside.
3. New Features Incoming
Since we were discussing the interiors and how they will evolve moving forward, it isn't limited to just that. With updated interiors and a bigger infotainment screen, it will be a more feature-brimmed XUV300. It is worth noting that the SUV never missed out on features, but the facelift version will expand even more.
Currently, the XUV300 comes with advanced features like rain-sensing wipers, tyre-position indicator, dual-zone automatic ac, a rear parking camera with dynamic assist, an anti-pinch sunroof, and more. If Mahindra could add ventilated seats and wireless charging to the SUV, it would be very difficult for other rivals to stand the heat.
4. No Change In Mechanics
Even with a lot going on outside, the heart and soul are expected to remain the same. Under the hood, the XUV300 facelift is most likely to continue with the same engine. The current engine options include 1.2-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel. The Mahindra XUV400, at a later stage, will also receive these cosmetic changes to enter its facelifted module.
VERDICT- In the segment where competition is so fierce, everyone needs to up their game. The facelifted Mahindra XUV300 is the Indian carmaker's shot at keeping the already-hit SUV, rolling out of the showrooms even more than before. And when we look at the spy shots, it feels that they are moving in the right direction.
