On September 8th, Mahindra will make the premiere of the XUV400, its first electric SUV. The logo and headlamp for the upcoming SUV, as well as the launch date, have already been teased by the brand. A new teaser for the XUV400 electric has now been released by the company, providing additional information on the upcoming electric SUV. The XUV400 will be similar to its ICE counterpart, the XUV300, but will have a few small design differences.
Mahindra XUV400 Teaser
The latest teaser displayed the upcoming Blue colour of the electric SUV with a new bronze Twin Peaks logo on the front and back. The front grille is closed, and there are projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The XUV brand initial is shown as a bronze "X" insignia on the front grille.
The XUV400 will be 4.2 metres longer than its ICE sibling, the brand has already stated. The inside space will be increased by the length of the vehicle. Also anticipated for the Mahindra XUV400 is a larger touchscreen infotainment system with AdrenoX system. ADAS compatibility may be included in the top-spec Mahindra electric SUV, according to certain reports.

A touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, an electric sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, and other features are expected.
Mahindra XUV400 Powertrain
Although its powertrain is currently unknown to us, rumours point to a battery pack with a 40-45 kWh capacity. Online reports also suggest that it will have a driving range of up to 300-350 km per charge in the real world. Whereas the company has kept quiet on the battery and other details, a short-range SUV version is also expected to be released.

With the introduction of the XUV400 electric, Mahindra will concentrate on capturing some of the EV market share currently held by Tata Nexon EV. Price estimates for the XUV400 range from Rs. 15 to Rs. 20 lakh (Ex-showroom).
