Mahindra has finally unveiled their upcoming electric SUV, XUV400 EV. This new product will target the buyers of the Tata Nexon EV, Hyundai Kona EV and MG ZS EV. It packs in a powerful battery pack, top-notch features and a good driving range. In this article, we share everything you need to know about this upcoming eSUV.
The XUV400 EV gets a 39.4 kWh battery pack which belts out a peak power and torque of 148 bhp and 310 Nm, respectively. It gets a driving range of 456 km which is quite good for an SUV this size. The real-world conditions vary and expect it to stick between 350 to 400 km.
The top speed of the XUV400 EV is electronically limited to 150 kmph only. 0-100 kmph sprint is achieved in just 8.3 seconds and the car supports fast charging too. From a 50kW DC fast charger, the battery of this eSUV can be juiced up in only 50 minutes. The XUV400 EV can be also charged with a 7.2kW AC charger and that takes 6.5 hours to fully juice up the battery.

Feature-wise, the XUV400 EV is equipped with an electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto IRVM, power-folding ORVMs, projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and more.
The XUV400 EV borrows some inspiration from the XUV300 on the design front. However, it distinguishes itself from the ICE version by providing a satin copper finish on some parts of the body. This is observed on the twin peaks logo, front bumper, roof rails and side door cladding. Similarly, this satin copper finish is observed in the cabin too. Also, the LED DRL and LED taillight pattern of the XUV400 EV is different from that of the XUV300.
