Skoda Kushaq & Slavia Manual Transmission Axed From These Variants
Skoda has just recently launched the new editions of the Skoda Kushaq SUV and the Slavia sedan with interesting updates. But in this transition, it has silently killed the manual transmission with the 1.5L Turbo petrol variants of both these models. You can now opt for a manual gearbox only with the 1.0L TSI engines. Skoda Kushaq Updated Engine Details
The Skoda Kushaq offers two engine choices: a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, and a more robust 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. The 1.0-liter engine comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the 1.5-liter engine is available exclusively with a 7-speed DCT, as the 6-speed manual option has been discontinued and pricing information has been removed from the official website.

Skoda Slavia Updated Engine Details
The Skoda Slavia comes with two engine options. The first is a 1.0-liter petrol engine that produces 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The second option is a more powerful 1.5-liter engine, delivering 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is now offered exclusively with a 7-speed DCT, as the manual gearbox option has been quietly discontinued.

Notably, the Skoda Slavia is gearing up for a facelift soon after the Skoda Kushaq facelift in September 2025. Going by the spy shots and other details, both these models are highly likely to offer ADAS with the new update.
Verdict
The latest update hints at a possible shelving of the manual transmission option with the 1.5L engine. However, the brand has not sent any confirmtion or update officially regarding this. It could be a hint towards the trend that lesser number of customers are opting for the manual with the bigger engine. However, if you still want a manual gearbox with the 1.5L Turbo petro, you should act quick and look for pending stock with the dealerships.
