The SHVS technology has made a return in the ZXi and ZXi+ editions. Formerly exclusive to the automatic versions, this feature has now been extended to these variants. As a result of this addition, the mileage for these versions has seen an improvement of 2.51 kmpl, rising from 17.38 kmpl to 19.89 kmpl. For those unfamiliar, the AT and CNG variants are reported to deliver a mileage of 19.80 kmpl and 25.51 km/kg, respectively.
Maruti has chosen to incorporate mild-hybrid technology in the high-end ZXI and ZXI+ manual variants of the Brezza, with prices set at Rs 11.05 lakh and Rs 12.48 lakh, respectively. Similarly, the technology remains accessible in the VXI AT (Rs 11.15 lakh), ZXI AT (Rs 12.55 lakh), and ZXI+ AT (Rs 13.98 lakh) variants, consistent with the previous offering.
Powertrain
The sub-4 metre SUV, Brezza, is equipped with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. In the CNG variant, the engine is detuned to produce 87bhp and 121Nm. Both manual and automatic transmission options are available, with a choice between a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic unit.
The Brezza, with prices commencing at Rs. 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom), retains its current pricing for the updated variants. It's worth highlighting that the carmaker has opted not to make any adjustments to the prices of these refreshed models. However, it's important to be aware that an impending price hike is anticipated across the entire model range, with the changes set to be implemented later this month.
