Powertrain
The sub-4-metre SUV, Brezza, features a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. In the CNG variant, the engine is detuned to generate 87bhp and 121Nm. It offers both manual and automatic transmission options, with a choice between a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic unit.
It faces direct competition in the segment from the likes of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV300.
Verdict
The price revision is nothing new and has been a consistent phenomenon from the starting of new year 2024. Given its combination of features, performance, and affordability, the Brezza remains a compelling choice in the fiercely competitive SUV market. The reintroduction of mild hybrid technology is expected to further enhance its appeal, attracting a larger audience of buyers and potentially diverting sales from its competitors.
