Design
Maruti Dzire just received a facelift last year with the tweaked exterior design and a major mechanical change. The design of the Dzire is pretty old school and no-nonsense. At the front, you have the halogen headlights followed by a large grille with chrome surrounding. At the bottom, it misses out on the fog lights but gets silver-finished surrounding that is found on the higher variants.
Moving to the side then you have steel wheels with wheel covers, followed by body-coloured door handles. At the rear, you get LED taillights and a thick chrome strip that runs across the taillights. Overall, the Dzire feels handsome and better looking than the Aura.
On the other hand, Hyundai Aura design approach is towards a funkier end. Now, to some, it will please but the majority of the Indian market did not understand its radical design. At the front, it gets halogen headlights and you do get boomerang LED DRLs. The front is sharper-looking than the Dzire and it also gets fog lights that add to the advantage.
Moving towards the side, it gets steel wheels with wheel covers and body-coloured door handles. It misses out on the indicators on the ORVMs and gets on the fenders instead. The rear is where the design seems unfinished and it just feels like a rush job. You do get LED taillights though that its rival also receives. Overall, it carries a subjective design approach where some may find it interesting while others will stick to other options present in the market.
Safety
Both the cars get equipped with dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, 2 stars Global NCAP rating, front seat belt warning, child seat anchor points, speed-sensing door lock, child safety lock and more. Maruti Dzire scores more here by providing a keyless entry over the remote offered in the Hyundai Aura.
