The country's largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of Ertiga by Rs 6,000 for all variants. The current price now starts from Rs 8.41 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.85 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Maruti Ertiga rivals Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo.
What's interesting is that Maruti has added two important safety features as standard across all trims. These are electronic stability control and hill hold assist which were earlier seen in the top-of-the-line variants. This isn't the only update the carmaker has done with the Ertiga as they earlier launched the CNG version in the ZXI variant too.
Mechanically, Maruti Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated motor with mild-hybrid tech. This motor pumps out 102 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. It gets mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission as an option.
