Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched a new Dominion Edition of its mid-size SUV, Grand Vitara. The Maruti Grand Vitara Dominion edition was launched just before the festive season to garner more customers for the SUV. The newly launched edition includes a complimentary accessory pack, offering cosmetic updates to the SUV. The Dominion Edition will be available for purchase in October only. Maruti Grand Vitara Dominion Edition
The new Dominion Edition is available in three variants namely Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Customers can buy this edition with the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol or with the CNG powertrain option. This festive special edition gets accessories worth Rs 48,599 to Rs 52,499 depending on the variant. The accessory pack includes an exterior styling kit, interior styling kit, chrome add-ons, seat covers, and car care kit, among other accessories.
The interior of the Dominion Edition gets dual-tone seat covers, all-weather 3D mats, interior styling kit, among other elements. The new edition offers more premium appeal to the interior of the SUV.
On the introduction of the Grand Vitara Dominion Limited Edition, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "The Grand Vitara has redefined the mid SUV segment, and the Dominion Edition builds on this success by offering options that cater to the evolving preferences of our customers. It features distinct styling with added comfort and a more premium interior, meeting the growing customer inclination towards stand-out appearance and superior in-cabin experience."

The new limited-run edition can be purchased with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine producing 103 PS of power and 136 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed AT gearbox. The other engine option for the Dominion Edition is the 1.5-litre CNG engine producing 88 PS of power and 121 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Verdict
The newly launched Dominion Edition will help the brand to attract more customers. The complimentary accessory packs will help the customers to make their vehicle more appealing. The brand may extend the sale of the Dominion Edition after seeing the response of the customers. However, it would have been better if this edition was also available with the Strong Hybrid powertrain.
