As can be seen, the base variant of the Hyundai Creta is offered with a diesel engine too. Hyundai Creta gets a 1.5L petrol as well as a 1.5L diesel mill. Both motors belt out 113 bhp of power on tap while the peak torque sticks to 144 Nm and 250 Nm, respectively. The ARAI-certified mileage of Creta sticks to 17 kmpl for the 1.5L petrol and 21 kmpl for the 1.5L diesel. Both the motors are paired with a 6-speed stick shift as standard.

Hyundai Creta offers the choice of a diesel engine which is still opted by consumers. The diesel is not only fun to drive but is also powerful and offers better mileage. If you are someone who travels long distances then Creta is the right pick for you. On paper, the Grand Vitara seems underpowered. But it offers a better fuel economy of 21.11 kmpl. If you are inclined towards better fuel economy then the Maruti Grand Vitara is the pick for you.

On the other hand, you can pick the Creta if you are looking for a diesel SUV. Also, Hyundai offers a better standard warranty on the Creta than Maruti on the Grand Vitara. In addition to this, Hyundai will be launching the Creta facelift soon in the Indian market. It is expected to be launched next year and will even feature ADAS along with other segment-first features. Currently, ADAS Level-2 is only observed with the MG Astor in this segment.
