Maruti Suzuki Invicto- The Hycross Twin
Based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, this will be the most premium offering by Maruti and also the highest in terms of pricing. It will be manufactured by Toyota alongside the Hycross and rebadged as the Invicto.

Although the underpinnings are the same, there are some visual distinctions. It gets a typical NEXA grille style along with a redesigned front bumper. It also gets new headlamps and tail lamp designs. This will impart a slight visual disconnect for a separate identity.
Interior And Features
Since it is based on the Hycross, the interior layout will remain exactly like its twin. However, it could get a new color theme for a NEXA statement. Coming to the features, it is expected to be a completely borrowed list from the Innova Hycross.
It includes cruise control, ventilated seats, a powered driver seat, ADAS tech, automatic climate control, a powered tailgate, automatic headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, and much more. In terms of safety onboard, it is pretty much sorted and includes Toyotas Safety Sense (ADAS), 6 Airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, TPMS, etc.
Powertrain
Just like the Innova Hycross, it comes with a 2.0-liter petrol unit and a hybrid mill as well. The naturally aspirated petrol engine is good for 173 PS power whereas the latter churns out 183 PS of peak power. The engines come mated to either a CVT or e-CVT gearbox.
Pricing
Although there is no update about the pricing, it could be priced somewhere from the 18 to 19 lakh rupees mark ex-showroom for the base variant. It is interesting to note that, even though it is exactly the same as the Innova Hycross, it will have a more premium price tag than its Toyota counterpart.
VERDICT- Since the new Maruti MPV is the same Innova Hycross inside, it will be offered in a petrol-only version. This also stands in line with Maruti's decision to root out diesel completely from its lineup. The launch is set for 5th July 2023. With fresh styling, it will cater to a wider audience and also increase the network for after-sales service.
