Mercedes Benz EQS Maybach Night Series: It's The Visuals That Steal the Show
The Mercedes Maybach EQS Night Series retains the design and styling of the regular model but incorporates dark chrome and rose gold accents along with a distinctive Maybach signature dual-tone color combination of Obsidian Black and Mojave Silver also being in the mix. Moving ahead, the closed-off signature grille features darkened Maybach pinstripes, polished black window frames, and some more blacked-out elements running around the exterior, giving it a more plush visual abundance. Apart from this, the sheet metal has not been touched, keeping the familiarity alive.
Interior And Features
Getting inside the cabin brings alive the opulence at play with the same bells and whistles you find with the standard (pronounced premium) EQS 680 model. But because this is the Night series edition, the dark treatment has found its way inside the cabin as well where you will find the all-black theme with a dedicated NIght Series badge, for that extra reminder that you've paid the premium for a premium package. The feature list however, continues to mimic the standard EQS 680 SUV, which in itself is a pretty brimmed up electric SUV.
Battery And Range Details
Maybach EQS SUV Night Series shares the same powertrain as its standard counterpart. This includes a 118 kWh battery pack and a dual electric motor setup producing a combined 648 hhp power and 950 Nm of torque. According to WLTP standards, the electric SUV has a range of up to 600 kilometers and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h.
Verdict
The Mercedes badging is enough to scream premium, let alone the accompanying Maybach tag that just takes it to another level altogether. Coming to the EQS in focus, the Night Series is a pure play of aesthetics that brings all the darks and blacks to the mix, evolving the electric SUV to a much more eye cathcy and shiny car that will turn heads when on the road.
