Coming to the details of this modified Volkswagen Polo GTI then it sure looks like a sleeper but when you tap on the gas that is where the magic begins. It makes as much as 400 bhp and the Pony (Mustang) makes 396 bhp. Not much difference but still, the GTI was on sale at Rs 26 lakh. While the Mustang costs you Rs 75 lakh. It uses a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine and gets a stage 3 eTuners Motorsport ECU and TCU. The stock DQ200 gearbox is replaced by a DQ250 which is also used in Octavia vRS. This is done to withstand the greater amount of torque. It sees an IS38 Turbo upgrade and a custom decat downpipe with a Valvetronic Remus cat-back exhaust system.
The intercooler sees an upgrade by Airtec Motorsport and Racingline Performance exhaust system and NGK Spark Plugs. To make the car stable at high speeds and improve driving dynamics this modified GTI gets Eibach anti-roll bar(F), Whiteline anti-roll bar and Bilstein B12 Suspension upgrade respectively.

The owner has also opted for EBC Rotors with Dixcel Z type brake pads (F) and EBC Yellow stuff brake pads (R). It also gets a turbo inlet pipe and turbo muffler delete. And the bonnet gets replaced by a carbon unit. The carbon unit helps in reducing the weight of the hatchback. The shoes of this modified hatch Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Rubber of 225/45 R17. The rims are from Team Dynamics.
This car does 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.6 seconds and the 1/4 mile is completed in 12.41 seconds. To give you a brief about the stock GTI which was launched back in 2016 in India, it made 192 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque from 1.8L TSI motor. The stock did 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.2 seconds while this modified version does a lot better.
