The next-generation Maruti Celerio recently made its debut and is now offered as the most fuel-efficient hatchback in the country. The car now gets a new design in addition to a refreshed cabin that now boasts a number of additional features and improved space. The Celerio also gets a new 1.0-L K10C motor that is now available with dual-jet technology. The Celerio is also one of the most VFM offerings in the brand's line-up. Having said this, the brand is now expected to launch the New Maruti Celerio CNG in December 2021. Here are all the details that you should check out. The new Celerio is now powered by a new 1.0-L K10C engine. This engine churns out 66 ps and a peak torque output of 89 Nm. This engine can be had with a 5-speed manual as well as a 5-speed AMT gearbox. While the CNG version of the car is expected to feature the same engine, the power and torque output may be less. We are not expecting the CNG variants to be available with an AMT gearbox. More details however are yet to be revealed by the brand.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio price starts from INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)for the base variant. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG price on the other hand is expected to start from INR 5.8-6.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Having said this, no changes are expected to be made to the exterior design of the car. It will however be interesting to see the variant line-up for the CNG version of the vehicle.
On the features front, the Celerio is now available with a number of additional features that include a large touchscreen infotainment system in addition to other features like push-button start, rear wiper, rear defogger, etc. The car also gets a new cabin and boasts a new gear knob for the automatic versions. Other features include R-15 gloss black alloy wheels, central locking, front fog lamps, rear parking sensors, rear camera, front airbags, ABS, EBD, and seat belt reminders. The Celerio also gets a new steering wheel and a new instrument console. The build quality however is not as good as that of the rivals and the cars like the Tata Tiago and the Hyundai Santro continue to offer a better cabin.
