Nissan Magnite is the single model on sale for the Japanese automaker in India. The Magnite has been in the market for the last four years and the brand has made some minor changes in features and variants till now. Now it is needed for a significant upgrade and it seems like Nissan is all set to bring one. The test mule of the upcoming Nissan Magnite facelift has been spotted on the test revealing some new features which will debut with the facelift. Nissan Magnite Facelift - To Get New Features
The newly spotted test mule was covered in heavy camouflage but gave some glimpse of what changes the facelift could bring. The brand might change the front and rear bumper a bit, we can also anticipate a redesigned front grille to give it a different look. The facelift might also feature some design changes for the headlamp and tail lamp assembly. The test mule also boasted a new design for the alloy wheels which seemed to be 16-inches in size.
On the inside, we can anticipate a new touchscreen infotainment with a new user interface. The Magnite is already equipped with a decent number of features but the facelift is expected to bring some more features. The new features might include ventilated front seats, and a single-pane electric sunroof, among other features. It currently offers rear AC vents, wireless charging, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera among other features.
Safety will also get a boost with the addition of 6-airbags, as of now it comes with a decent number of safety features such as TPMS, traction control, hill-hold assist, rear parking camera with sensors, and surround view monitoring among other features.
Will Continue To Get The Same Powertrain Options
The Magnite facelift will continue to get the same engine options as the current model. It comes with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 100 PS of power and 152 Nm of torque with CVT gearbox and 160 Nm with 5-speed manual transmission. Other engine options include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with an option of a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

Verdict
Nissan Magnite is a decently equipped sub-4 metre SUV which comes with a decent convenience and safety features along with fuel efficient engine options. The upcoming facelift is expected to feature tweaked design which is much needed as the car is 4 years old now and a facelift is much needed. It wil continue to lock horns with the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, other sub-4 metre SUVs.
