Nissan India has launched a new edition of the Nissan Magnite called the GEZA Edition. This brings with it quite a few upgrades, the majority of them being the infotainment ones. Since this compact SUV brings in a lot of buyers and footfall for Nissan, the new edition is aimed at keeping the excitement buzzing.
Let us check out what extra it offers when compared to standard Magnite.
Infotainment Upgrades And More
The Nissan Magnite GEZA edition comes in a single variant. that is a 1.0-liter non-turbo petrol mill with 5 color options. While there are no changes in the mechanics of the car, the cabin is where upgrades are most evident. Geza in Japanese means off-stage musical accompaniment and sound effects, so the spotlight is set on a rich musical experience.
It now gets a new 9-inch touchscreen along with a JBL-sourced music system, ambient lighting with app-based controls, wireless Android Auto, a reverse parking camera, beige upholstery (optional), and a shark-fin antenna. Bookings for the same are now open at Rs. 11,000.
Powertrain
It is available in a 1.0-liter petrol engine with both a non-turbo and turbocharged unit. The non-turbo variant puts out 72PS power with a peak torque of 96 Nm. On the other hand, the turbo unit churns out 100 PS power with a torque of 160 Nm. There is no diesel on offer with the Magnite.
Nissan Magnite directly rivals the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
VERDICT- Compact SUV space is one of the fiercest battlegrounds for carmakers. More people are shifting to this segment and it needs constant evolution. With this new edition, Nissan aims to keep the Magnite in a fresh appeal to convert interests into concrete sales.
