Tata Motors is all set to launch the updated Nexon EV on May 11 and just recently, they've teased its official name and it'll be called, Nexon EV Max. This electric SUV rivals MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona and we believe that with this upgraded model, the prices will surely rise up by a margin. The current prices of Nexon EV stick from Rs 14.54 lakh to Rs 17.15 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
As per the cosmetic upgrades, it is to be believed that the Nexon EV Max will retain most of the design as before. However, do expect a new colour scheme as an option when it'll be launched. Currently, Nexon EV is offered in three colour options - Glacier White, Signature Teal Blue and Midnight Black.
Safety-equipment too on the EV Max is expected to be increased and we believe all-wheel disc brakes and electronic stability control will be made standard across all variants. Other safety features like dual airbags at the front, ABS with EBD, a high-speed alert system, speed-sensing door locks, front seat belt reminder and more like these will continue as before.

As for the powertrain, the current model gets a 30.2kWh battery pack that belts out 127 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 245 Nm. The ARAI certified driving range sticks to 312 km only. With the new model, we expect a bigger 40 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack with more power and torque figures. Even the driving range is expected to hit the 400 km mark as per ARAI. The only downside with a larger battery pack is the decreased boot carrying capacity along with kerb weight too increasing by 100 kg.
Feature-wise, the Nexon EV Max will continue to host a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, a semi-digital instrument cluster and more. Similarly, we do expect ventilated seats, cruise control and more features to be equipped to the Nexon EV Max.
