Bookings for the Hilux, a lifestyle pickup truck from Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), have been reopened. A limited number of deliveries were made by the brand before it stopped accepting bookings last year. The brand has now reinstated the availability of bookings at the same rate. Priced between Rs 33.99 lakh and Rs 36.80 lakh (ex-showroom). , the Hilux is available in three models in India.

Toyota Hilux Pickup
The Hilux has a 2.8 L four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and comes with a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission as an option. When coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the engine is capable of producing 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque at its maximum output. When paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, the maximum torque is 420 Nm.
All Hilux models include 4X4 drive capabilities as well as other first-in-segment innovations for a comfortable drive, including drive mode selections (Power & Eco), tire angle monitor, and front parking sensors. The Hilux offers a wide range of impressive features together with a powerful engine, as well as outstanding endurance, low maintenance costs, and excellent practicality for a number of usage applications. Additionally, the Hilux can drive through Indian tracks because to its 700mm water wading capacity, which raises the bar for off-road performance.
On the features front, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel with rake and reach adjustments, a tyre angle monitor, and other features are all included in the Toyota Hilux.
Verdict: The only lifestyle pickup trucks on the Indian market right now are the Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu V Cross. The Hilux and V-Cross are rivals, and their price difference is Rs. 11.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hilux only comes in 4X4 varieties, but the V-Cross has a 4X2 option.
