Engine Specifications
The Citroen C3 offers two engine options: a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The naturally aspirated engine generates a maximum power of 81 bhp and a torque of 113 Nm. In contrast, the turbocharged petrol engine produces 108 bhp and a maximum torque of 190 Nm. The first engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the second engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Both the engines are now BS6 phase 2 compliant.
Verdict: The upcoming increase in price is likely to discourage potential customers. While the brand has not disclosed the specific reason for the price hike, it is anticipated to be a result of rising input costs and compliance with the BS 6 phase 2 regulations.
