Royal Enfield Classic 650 - All Details
Royal Enfield has been testing the Classic 650 for a long time now. This upcoming model will look like the Classic 350's bigger version. The retro design theme is evident in the spy pics, as the bike gets a round headlight with a cowl, tiger lamps, a tear-shaped fuel tank, and split seats. Even the tail section is similar to the Classic 350, as it gets a round tail light and halogen turn indicators. Other crucial design highlights include spoke rims with tube tyres, chrome twin-exhaust cans, chrome highlights on the engine components, and a detachable rear seat.
The Classic 650 will be based on the Super Meteor 650 platform. But, the wheelbase will be shorter, to make it easy to handle inside the city. Additionally, it will get a more upright riding position as compared to the Super Meteor. The 648cc oil-cooled parallel-twin engine is likely to be offered as it is. However, we assume that its ECU tuning and gear ratios will be altered according to the dimensional and weight changes. While to maintain its retro appeal, it will expectedly get fewer features, we still assume that a semi-digital console with Bluetooth connectivity and an LED headlight, will make its way onto the production model.
The current plans of Royal Enfield are to launch the Guerrilla 450 naked roadster bike. It will be revealed on July 17, and the official launch could take place in the coming weeks. However, the EICMA show is important for Royal Enfield's global image, and hence, the Classic 650 along with the Classic 350 Bobber, could be showcased there. We assume that the Classic 650 could launch in India by December, and its pricing can be around Rs 3.20 lakh.
