The deliveries of the recently launched Skoda Kushaq has commenced and from what our sources tell then it is the 1.0L TSI that is the preferred choice in the market. Yes, the smaller turbocharged stratified injection unit pumps out 115 PS with 178 Nm of peak torque and is mated to 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
Sharing the mechanical details of the bigger 1.5L TSI then this one kicks out 150 PS with 250 Nm of peak torque. This quicker turbocharged petrol unit gets mated to a 6-speed MT as well as an optional 7-speed DSG. If you are a performance enthusiast then nothing beats the convenience of a DSG but since we also have this engine mated to a 6-speed AT then this one is a tricky choice here. The ARAI mileage for the same is not yet out. The deliveries of the 1.5L TSI will start in August.
Skoda Kushaq is available in three variants - Active, Ambition and Style. The latter is reserved for the 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI only. Skoda has confirmed that they have received close to 3000 bookings ever since the SUV got launched on June 28.

Feature-wise, the Kushaq is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Skoda has their own pre-built apps like gaana, Sygic, Audiobooks and more. Other features like cruise control, valet mode, front ventilated seats, wireless charging, touch-sensitive controls for HVAC, electric sunroof and more are on offer.
Safety features on the Kushaq include ABS with EBD and ESC as standard. The higher variant carries six airbags, multi-collision braking, tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control, front seat belt reminder, high-speed alert system and others.
