The Slavia 1.0L turbo Petrol Manual saw the biggest change. It earlier had a fuel efficiency of 19.47kmpl while the Automatic had a mileage of 18.07kmpl. Previously, the 1.5L turbo petrol engine had an ARAI fuel economy of 18.72kmpl with the manual and 18.41kmpl with the automatic transmission. The new numbers have been mentioned in the chart above.

What's another feather in the cap of Slavia is the impeccable safety rating that it scored in Global NCAP. It scores a full 5-star rating according to the new testing norms of the crash testing agency. The accompanying sedan from this segment is the Volkswagen Virtus, which also took home all the stars. VERDICT- While the new emission norms had to be complied with, the additional increase in mileage is a cherry on top. The same is not the case with every update, as some of the products have registered a slight drop in these figures as well.
