This comes in line with the trend in the auto space where carmakers are making an upward revision in the price tags of various models. Interestingly, all but 3 variants of the Slavia receive a hike of varying quanta. After this, the starting price comes out at Rs. 11.53 lakhs

While the Slavia sedan is now dearer in New Year 2024, interestingly, the prices for the Skoda Slavia Matte Edition variants, introduced in October 2023, have remained consistent since December of the same year.
However, there is noteworthy news for the base variant, the 1.0L Active MT, as it has experienced a substantial increase of Rs. 64,000. This unexpected hike has propelled the starting price of the Slavia beyond the Rs. 11.0 lakh (ex-showroom) threshold, marking a significant shift in the pricing strategy for this model.
Powertrain
The Slavia offers a diverse range of powertrain options to choose from. It includes a 115hp, 150Nm 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Alternatively, there is a more potent 150hp, 250Nm 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine available as well. This engine variant comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It's essential to note that the Slavia excludes any diesel engine option from its lineup.
Verdict
Slavia is one of the most popular choice in the C segment sedans in the country. With its sharp and aggresive looks, plush interiors and a range of diverse engine options, new buyers are intrigued by its appeal. Throw in the 5-Star Global NCAP rating in the mix, it adds an extra layer of bling to the overall package.
