Tata Motors recently launched the Altroz, India's safest premium hatchback. As compared to rivals, the car is easier to own too as it is the most affordable of the lot starting at a price of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In this article, we compare the fuel economy of Tata Altroz with its rivals.
Tata Altroz competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Toyota Glanza and Honda Jazz. While the petrol engine of the Altroz does not feel punchy enough and lacks a little bit of grunt, it is the diesel engine that picked our eye the most. And so does its fuel efficiency. The petrol model of Altroz returns 19.05 km/l and diesel returns 25.11 km/l. All figures stick with ARAI. Do note that the Altroz is not offered with an optional automatic as of now.
