India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki just teased how the 2022 Maruti Baleno will look like and the features it'll get. Now, according to the reports on the internet, the launch of the 2022 Maruti Baleno is likely to happen on February 23.
The bookings of the Baleno can be done at your nearest Nexa dealerships or through the company's website for just Rs 11,000. First launched back in 2015, almost 7 years later, this facelifted model will get an updated list of features, colour options and also added safety equipment on offer.
Design-wise, the front now gets a flatter hood and the stance of the car is wider than before. You do get a completely new U-shaped grille design that joins the L-shaped headlights in a subtle way. The top-spec variants will get integrated LED daytime running lights.

Moving to the side profile, it remains largely unchanged but now gets striking looking alloy wheels. The rear tail lamps follow the L-shaped design as seen at the front and also gets restyled tailgate design. The bumper design at the front and rear are new too. The colour options of the new Baleno are - Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Pearl Arctic White Opulent Red, Celestial Blue and Luxe Beige.
As of now, there are no insights on the cabin design of the 2022 Baleno but we do expect a new upholstery design and an updated dashboard. A 9.0-inch larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is expected too. The top-spec variants of the Baleno will get a Head-up display. This segment-first feature will allow the drivers to drive without having to take their eyes off the road by conveniently displaying information like the speed, temperature, time and more.
Safety equipment on the Baleno includes dual airbags at the front, rear parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, speed-sensing door locks, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminder and more. We can also expect six airbags and electronic stability control for the top-spec variants of the new Baleno.

Mechanically, things remain unchanged and the premium hatchback will offer two petrol engine options - 1.2L DualJet and 1.2L petrol. The former gets mild-hybrid technology and generates 89 bhp of power on tap while the latter generates 82 bhp only. The peak torque on both motors sticks to 113 Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and the 1.2L petrol also gets CVT as an option.
We expect the launch price of the 2022 Maruti Baleno to range from Rs 6.40 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
