From the table above, the only advantage Polo TSI carries is of the larger fuel tank caapacity of 45 litres when compared with the Altroz of just 37 litres. The Altroz offers a roomier cabin and a spacious rear space than the Polo along with a better headroom. The ground clearance for both the cars is more or less the same.

Now, this is where the things start getting interesting as it is the engine that excites the enthusiasts. While the Altroz i-Turbo might portray the fusion of performance and family car, we all know that the Polo always has an edge on the performance. The Comfortline variant when launched with the TSI a few weeks ago gave the enthusiasts a way of owning a hot hatch.
Power figures of the Polo sticks to 109 bhp with 175 Nm of peak torque while that of Altroz i-Turbo sticks to 108 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. Polo has all the advantage here despite having a smaller engine. The 6-speed gearbox also helps and the fact that Polo is an effortless to drive in traffic or highways. Another edition is that, if driven with a light right foot, Polo gives an excellent fuel economy.

It is the Volkswagen Polo TSI that offers better standard warranty of 4 years or 1 lakh km whichever is at earliest. Tata Motors only offers 2 years or 75,000 km warranty. The turbochargers are on an expensive side to maintain and if the standard warranty is more then its better.
Verdict
If you are someone who is buying their first car and have a family then the Altroz i-Turbo won't dissapoint you. Yes, the touchscreen, cruise control, cornering headlights are some features that are appealing but the Polo offers better driving dynamics and engine performance. It is a hard choice but the best what your money can buy then pick the Altroz but the heart wants what it wants. So if that's the case then Polo is your best buy.
