Tata Motors has finally launched the all-new Tata Curvv EV in India. The Curvv EV is the first electric coupe SUV in the brand's portfolio. For those who are unaware, the Curvv SUV is available in both ICE and EV versions. Both versions share most of their features and design elements. The Curvv EV has been positioned above the Nexon EV. Tata Curvv EV Design
The Curvv EV derives some of its design elements from the Nexon. In the front fascia, the Curvv EV gets connected to LED DRLs and a closed-off grille with welcome and goodbye animations as well. Also, there are vertical lines on the bumper, similar to the Nexon EV. There are some new additions which include flush-type door handles and a new set of alloy wheels.
Tata Curvv EV Features on Board
On the feature front, the Tata Curvv is loaded with amenities such as a 4-spoke steering wheel derived from Harrier and Safari, panoramic sunroof, touch climate control panel. Also, there is a 12.3-inch free-floating infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display. Additionally, there are amenities on offer like ambient lighting, ventilated seats (front) and blind spot monitoring
In terms of safety, the Curvv EV offers features such as six airbags standard, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes, an ADAS suite and a 360-degree camera with front parking sensors. The ADAS Level suite of the electric SUV offers features such as lane-keep assist, cruise control and forward collision warning.
Tata Curvv EV Powertrain
The Curvv EV comes powered by a 123 kW motor which enables an impressive acceleration from 0-100 kph in just 8.6 seconds. The E-SUV gets two battery pack options- a 55 kWh and a 45 kWh. Additionally, the Curvv EV has V2V and V2L capabilities and multi-mode regen with paddle shifters.
Driving range for both battery packs:
- 45 Kwh version: 330-350 km/charge (estimated)
- 55 KWh version: 585 km/charge (highway)
Price
The Tata Curvv EV l has been launched at an introductory price tag of Rs. 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs. 21.99 lakh for the top-end model. The new Curvv lock its horns with already available E-SUVs such as the MG ZS EV. It also has some upcoming rivals such as the Maruti eVX and the Hyundai Creta EV.
