Tata Motors is continuously testing its upcoming SUV the Curvv and the test mules have been spotted multiple times. Recently, a new test mule of the Curvv has been spotted on test featuring a flex wheel design, a substantial ground clearance, and an interior shot has also been seen in the new pictures. Tata Curvv SUV Spotted
The newly spotted test mule seems to be a lower model equipped with steel wheels which will get wheel covers in the production model. The test mule also showcased Nexon EV-inspired LED DRLs, and headlamp assembly similar to the Harrier. The SUV features a coupe design that looks good on the road and increases the vehicle's road presence. Also, the new test mule has showcased a substantial ground clearance of the SUV.
The interior was seen with a dual-screen setup similar to the latest Tata SUVs. It will boast a similar-sized screen as the Nexon. Also, a two-spoke steering wheel will be available. The Curvv will get flush door handles to enhance the exterior look and features like electrically controlled ORVMs, automatic climate control, and wireless charging among other features. We can also anticipate the addition of ADAS in the Curvv. Other safety features will include a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, TPMS, and parking sensors among others.
Tata Curvv Powertrain
The Curvv will be available in both EV & ICE powertrains. The EV version is expected to make its debut first and then the ICE variant will be launched. The Curvv EV will be available in both single and dual-motor setups. We can anticipate the range of 450-550 km on a single charge. The brand has not yet revealed the powertrain details.
On the other hand, the ICE version will get a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which produces 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of peak torque. The SUV will also offer a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 PS of power and 260 Nm of peak torque. The petrol version is anticipated to get a 7-speed DCT gearbox while the diesel will be available with a 6-speed manual unit.

Verdict
The upcoming Tata Curvv Coupe SUV is one the most anticipated product for the Indian market. The brand has not yet revealed the launch timeline, but it is anricipated to be launched in the second half of the year. The ICE version is expected to be priced under Rs 20 lakh. The ICE version will compete with the mid-size SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos and others. However, the EV version will compete with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona and other similar priced EVs.
