Tata Curvv Coupe SUV Spied
The upcoming Tata Curvv Coupe SUV is no stranger to prying cameras. It has been a regular visitor to the spy shot world and sheds light on something new every time it is papped. It continues its test runs while giving out a well-defined hint on what its road presence would feel like. Firstly, the Tata Curvv opens up a whole new segment of Coupe SUVs in the country. While it is not something that is an alien concept, bringing it to the affordable segments is something that has not been done, until now.
While it is a whole new segment, Tata Curvv is not alone in this. Just recently, Citroen revealed its coupe SUV, named the Basalt. It sits above the Citroen C3 Aircross and comes with a load of new features. These SUVs will enter a segment with just each other as pure rivals. The main highlight of this styling is the sloping sedan-like roofline along with the practicality of an SUV with higher ground clearance. And by the looks of it, it will sway buyers from the traditional SUVs to those looking for something new.

Additionally, a reliable 1.5L diesel engine with 115 PS and 260 Nm is part of the lineup. And that's not all, the Curvv EV is all set to debut ahead of the ICE variant around mid 2024.
The Curvv EV is scheduled to premiere first around mid-2024, followed by the ICE variant expected to arrive in showrooms early next year. Preliminary estimates indicate that the ICE variants of Curvv will be priced around Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom), while the EV model is expected to start in the range of Rs. 18-20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Verdict
The Curvv SUV boasts a sleek, coupe-inspired design, feature-packed interior, and flexible engine choices. It targets a new segment with hopes of making a splash and carve out something new. But success hinges on several yet-to-be-determined factors, the highlight being the pricing.
