Tata Harrier EV Design Language
The Tata Harrier EV gets a similar design language to its ICE counterpart. Tata Motors has again proved its supremacy in making near-concept production models as the test mules look similar to the concept models earlier showcased at the Auto Expo. It features Bi-LED projector headlights, centre positioned lamp and front LED fog lamps, sequential LED DRLs and front fog lamps. The Harrier also gets some EV-specific design elements such as a closed-off grille and an updated lower fascia.
Talking about the side profile, the Harrier EV gets a new set of alloy wheels which is different than its ICE counterpart. Unlike the Curvv EV, the Harrier E-SUV was spotted with normal door handles instead of the flush type. The test mule also gets blacked-out pillars and ORVMs, thick body cladding integrated turn indicators and a charging port mounted positioned above the rear wheel. At the rear, you get a connected LED tail lamp with a welcome and goodbye animation.
Tata Harrier EV: Features
The Tata Harrier EV will offer a similar set of features to its ICE sibling. The dashboard layout, steering wheel, centre console and door trims are almost the same. Notably, the Harrier EV will get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features on offer will be a voice-controlled panoramic sunroof with mood lighting. Also, it will have an illuminated logo on the steering wheel, persona-themed interiors and a new-gen central console.
Tata Harrier EV: Powertrain
However, information about the battery capacity is scarce, the EV will have an AWD option which is not available with its ICE counterpart. The AWD configuration could prove a plus point for the Harrier EV over its petrol/diesel-powered sibling. We expect the Harrier EV to be equipped with a 60-80 kW battery pack which will provide a driving range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
