Personal mobility will boom to the sky after the lockdown ends as Coronavirus is arguably never going to find a stop. Everyone will prefer personal mobility rather scrambling on a train or in a bus. Social distancing is going to stay in our daily do's and don'ts and to support that, carmakers have launched some finance schemes to encourage car buyers. Tata Motors has announced some finance schemes to ease up the repayment process in these tough times.

The first scheme here is the easy EMI scheme for the Tiago. Under this scheme, you can buy a Tata Tiago by paying Rs 5000/ month for the next 6 months from the date of purchase. After 6 months, the EMI instalment will gradually rise to the maximum tenure of 5 years and for the last EMI, the buyer can choose from 3 alternative ways of paying back:
- Pay the remaining amount (approximately Rs 90,000) as the final EMI and take ownership of the car.
- Return the vehicle to Tata Motors Finance, in case of financial caveats
- Choose to refinance the final EMI and pay in parts
This scheme is only available for Tata Tiago and it is valid up to Rs 5,00,000 for a tenure of five years. The Rs 5000/month scheme is valid for six months, after which the amount of EMIs will rise gradually. For all the doctors, healthcare professionals, essential service providers and police, Tata Motors has announced an additional cash benefit of Rs 45,000 on all cars and SUVs from Tata Motors except for the newly launched Altroz.
Not only this, but Tata Motors has also announced 100% finance on all of its cars except for the Altroz. The tenure of the loan can be stretched up to 8 years which helps in lowering the monthly instalment payments. Customers can book, test drive and purchase their Tata car by the recently launched 'Click to Drive' online portal of Tata Motors.
Over 270 showrooms and 318 workshops are already operational with a new set of the standard operating procedure (SOPs) for enhanced safety defining minimal interactions and maintaining prudent social distance norms during interactions between customer and dealer staff.

Tata Motors is focusing on minimising physical interaction between the customer and staff with the help of online demonstration, home delivery of new cars etc. The customers can book a test drive on their desired location and the dealership's staff member will bring the TD vehicle at that location. Even whilst test driving, to maintain social distancing, only one person will be allowed to test drive and the staff member will sit on the back seat. All these finance schemes from Tata Motors will help to boost up the sales of Tata cars.
