Tata Motors is one of the oldest home-grown carmakers in India and has engineered some legendary cars. The 4 million production milestone of Tata Motors has been completed and the car which completed this milestone is the Altroz. Tata Motors entered the passenger car market in 1988 and later launched the fully-indigenous Indica in the Indian market. Since then, the Indian carmaker has launched some iconic cars like the Safari, Sierra (launched before the Indica), Sumo, Nano etc. Tata Motors is said to be the safest passenger car maker in India with the safest cars offered in the respective segment.
We can not describe Tata Motors in just one way as the brand has done great work in various segments. Tata Motors' Nexon was the first Indian carmaker to offer the 5-star rated car from Global NCAP. Tata Motors was also one of the pioneering brands in future mobility segment and offers the Tigor EV and Nexon EV. Tata Motors also heads the iconic Jaguar and Land Rover carmakers. Tata Motors achieved the 1 million production mark in 2005-06, 3 million mark in 2015 and now the 4 million mark in October 2020. Tata Motors is now having a good time in the Indian markets with some great offerings like the Tiago, Nexon and Harrier. The Tiago is doing amazing in its segment and also the most selling Tata car at this moment. The Nexon is also a very popular car in its segment with dependable engines and unique styling. The Harrier is not the volume maker for Tata but offers huge following thanks to its amazing looks and powerful diesel engine.
