- Tata Motors updated its lineup to meet with BS6 Phase-2 norms
- The fuel economy of the Altroz, Nexon, Tiago and Tigor has improved
To comply with the upcoming BS6 phase 2 requirements, Tata Motors has updated its vehicle lineup. The Tata Nexon, Altroz, Tiago, and Tigor's powertrains receive the update to become RDE compliant. With the new update the mileage figures of these 4 vehicles have been increased. We'll have a look at the updated mileage of these four Tata cars in this article.

Tata Tiago
The Tiago now has a 1 km/l higher fuel efficiency following the BS6 Phase-2 update. The Tiago's pre update model used to have an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.01kmpl. The current number is 20.01 kmpl. With the new update the manufacturer has upped the standard warranty on the Tiago to 3 years and 1 lakh kilometres.
Tata Tigor
With the new update, the Tigor's fuel efficiency for the AMT variants has increased from 19 km/l to 19.60 km/l. Fuel efficiency for the manual versions is 19.28 km/l. Additionally, similar to the Tiago, the Tigor too gets a standard warranty of 3 years and 1 lakh kilometres.

Tata Altroz
Tata's premium hatchback Altroz has also received an update for its fuel efficiency. Fuel efficiency for the Altroz petrol has increased from 18.6 km/l to 19.33 km/l, and for the diesel version from 23 km/l to 23.64 km/l. Apart from fuel efficiency other engine specifications remain the same.
Tata Nexon
Fuel efficiency for the Tata Nexon petrol has increased to 17.33 km/l from the MT versions' 17.10 km/l. The petrol AMT version now has an efficiency of 17.04 km/l, a minimal increase of 0.1 km/l. The highest increase in fuel efficiency for the diesel variations is the diesel AMT variant, which now has a fuel efficiency of 24.07 km/l as opposed to 22 km/l. The diesel MT variant formerly gave a fuel efficiency of 21.10 km/l which is now increased to 23.22 km/l.

Verdict: With the increased fuel efficiency all these Tata cars have become more appealing for the customers who want a fuel efficient car. Tata Motors has given the importance to the better engine tuning in the BS6 phase-2 update in order to make them more efficienct.
