Tata Punch Kaziranga edition was recently showcased at the IPL event and this one-off model will be auctioned to the fans and the received donations will go towards the conservation of Kaziranga National Park in Assam. This Kaziranga edition is inspired by the Indian one-horned rhinoceros and now will be seen on other Tata SUVs too like Nexon, Harrier and Safari.
As can be seen in the images, all three SUVs, Nexon, Harrier and Safari sport this latest Kaziranga edition. The exclusive meteor bronze shade with contrast blacked-out treatment on the wheels and ORVMs look really good. Similarly, the chrome elements too receive a blacked-out treatment.
When the Punch Kaziranga edition was showcased, it sported a blacked-out rhino motif on its front fender and rear windscreen and on the glove box inside the cabin. It also gets a door scuff plate with Kaziranga lettering on it. The interior of the mini SUV gets a similar bronze and black colour scheme.

All these changes will be seen on the other SUVs too. All three SUVs, Nexon, Harrier and Safari will be made available to customers in a few weeks but we're not sure if Punch will officially be launched except for the one-off model that will be auctioned.
Mechanically, things will remain unchanged for these SUVs. Tata Safari and Harrier will continue with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, FCA sourced diesel engine. This unit makes as much as 168 bhp with 350 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed stick shift as standard and an optional 6-speed torque converter.
On the other hand, Tata Nexon is offered with 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel motor. The former is a three-cylinder unit that generates as much as 118 bhp with 170 Nm of peak torque. The diesel produces 108 bhp with 260 Nm of maximum torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is offered as standard with both the engines along with an optional AMT unit. We believe that the Kaziranga edition will be based on the top-spec variants of these SUVs.
