Last week, Tata Motors introduced the Punch CNG with an initial price tag of Rs 7.10 lakh (Ex-showroom). Equipped with the twin-cylinder technology and a 1.2-liter petrol+CNG engine, the Punch CNG offers a consistent powertrain. Tata Punch CNG Mileage
The Tata Punch CNG comes with a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. Paired with a single 5-speed manual transmission, this powertrain generates 84 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque in petrol mode. When switched to CNG mode, the engine output adjusts to 72 bhp of power and 103 Nm of peak torque. The official mileage rating for the Punch CNG stands at 26.99 km/kg. It's worth noting that this mileage falls slightly behind its primary competitor, the Exter, which boasts a mileage of 27.1 km/kg.
The standout feature of the Punch CNG is its unique provision of spacious boot capacity, a result of the twin-cylinder technology. With the help of this technology Tata Motors has given a boot space of 210 litre in the Punch CNG. This innovative approach has also been extended to the Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG models. The brand has introduced the Punch CNG in five different variants, ranging in price from Rs 7.10 lakh to Rs 9.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
