Tata Tiago.ev Gets Dearer By Rs 20,000 - Introductory Price Comes To End
  • Tata Motors has increased the price of the Tata Tiago.ev.
  • Now, prices are between Rs. 8.69 lakh and Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • The price of each version has increased by Rs 20,000.

The Tata Tiago.ev's introductory price has ended, and the company has raised the cost of its entry-level EV in India. Tata Tiago.ev now starts at Rs. 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom), after an Rs. 20,000 price increase. This Rs 20,000 price hike is applied to all models. There are three primary Tiago.ev models, available with two battery pack options, and two charger options.

Commenting on this exciting news, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, The Tiago.ev is a special product as it is makes electric mobility accessible and mainstream. It has received a phenomenal response from customers making it the Fastest Booked EV in India with 10,000 units being booked on the first day and 20,000 bookings achieved within a month.

Two distinct battery configurations are available for the Tata Tiago.ev: a 19.2 kWh battery pack and a 24 kWh battery pack. On a full charge, the first has a MIDC range of 250 km, while the second has a range of 315 km. The bigger 24 kWh battery pack produces a maximum torque of 114 Nm and 74 bhp. The 19.2 kWh battery pack, in contrast, produces 60 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 110 Nm.

Verdict: Tata Tiago.ev is still one of India's most affordable EVs, even with the recent price increase. The EV has a respectable range and a considerable number of features. Citroen is getting ready to launch the C3 electric, which means the Tiago.ev will soon have a new rival.
