Tata Motors is all set to introduce another CNG vehicle in its portfolio, and this time it will be the Tiago NRG. Currently, the carmaker has two CNG vehicles in its portfolio, Tiago and Tigor. The Tiago NRG CNG is teased as India's first toughroader CNG vehicle.
Mechanically, Tiago NRG CNG is expected to be powered by the same 1.2L motor as the Tiago CNG. It will get a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, three-cylinder petrol motor. In CNG form, it generates 72 bhp of power with a peak torque of 95 Nm. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and gets an ARAI-certified mileage of 26.49 km/kg.
On the styling front, the Tiago NRG CNG differentiates in a lot of ways from the regular version of Tiago CNG. On the outside, it gets body cladding, sportier front and rear bumper, satin black strip at the tailgate, increased length, added ground clearance of 181 mm and more.

Feature-wise, the Tiago NRG CNG is expected to get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, 15-inch hyperstyle wheels, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs and more.
Currently, the manual version of the Tiago NRG is available in two variants - XT and XZ. Both are priced at Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 6.90 lakh, respectively. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. We believe that the CNG version will get a premium of Rs 90,000 over the petrol counterparts.

Verdict
Tata Tiago NRG CNG can be a real deal for those looking for an adventure toughroader vehicle. Also, it will be priced under Rs 8 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi and will be loaded with features up to the brim. The launch is expected soon in the Indian market.
