Toyota has confirmed the development of a small mid-size SUV which has been targeted to take on European markets. Toyota's small SUV will share its underpinnings with Toyota Yaris and will be built on TNGA-B platform. There is no confirmed name shared yet, but reports suggest it will have the codename B-SUV

The B-SUV will sit below the C-HR SUV which is a crossover with a sloping roofline. As it is in the development phase, there is no legit information about its features and other data. It is expected that the B-SUV will share the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre petrol engine from Yaris (international) and hybrid variants will also be launched.

Toyota's small SUV will be manufactured in the Onnaing plant in France with the Yaris. Toyota might also consider the B-SUV for Asian countries. Previous reports also suggested that Toyota India and Maruti Suzuki India both are developing a Creta-rival SUV which is expected to arrive in 2021.

Toyota India and MSIL had announced some cars within their alliance and the first one from Toyota's house was the Glanza which essentially was a rebadged Maruti Baleno. The rebadging chapter will continue with rebadged Vitara Brezza and rebadged Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
