Undisguised BYD eMAX 7 Electric MPV Spotted: Launch Soon

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • The BYD eMAX 7, the replacement for the e6, has been spotted testing undisguised.
  • It features new alloy wheels, a redesigned front bumper, and new LED tail lamps.
  • The expected price could be around Rs 30 lakh.

Recently, the BYD eMAX 7, a replacement for the e6, was spotted without any protective covers, giving us a clear view of how it would look in the real world. It seems international companies can't resist launching electric vehicles to make an impact in the Indian automotive industry. Additionally, the BYD e6 has already been removed from the official BYD website, and the model page for the eMAX 7 has taken its place.

It's not an entirely new model but rather a facelift that surprisingly comes with a new name. Let's take a closer look at the photos, and in the meantime, make sure to join the 91Wheels WhatsApp Community to stay updated on the latest automotive news.

The test mule of the eMAX 7 showcased a new set of alloy wheels that appear quite small for such a massive MPV. As for the front, it still resembles the e6, but the bumper has been completely redesigned, and there's a new chrome grille. Additionally, the headlamps no longer feature projectors, as they have switched to all-LED units. Overall, the front end has gained a more confident appearance.

As for the rear end, it features a new set of tail lamps with the popular connected LED DRLs, along with a new bumper that includes chrome strips and a large spoiler.

This MPV is expected to come with modern features such as a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, 12.8-inch touchscreen, and premium speakers. Whether it will include ADAS features is unknown, especially since the BYD Atto 3 facelift, despite starting at a hefty price of Rs 24.99 lakh, does not offer ADAS.

Verdict

BYD is the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles and is carefully making its mark on the Indian automotive scene. Recently, they introduced the BYD Atto 3, which didn't create much buzz despite offering great features at an attractive price. However, the BYD e6 has been spotted on the roads of Delhi NCR due to its MPV nature. So, will it help the brand grow in India with its facelift? Only time will tell.
