- To rival with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and other mid-size SUVs
Honda Cars India is getting ready to launch a new SUV in the Indian market. The company is currently doing thorough testing of the Elevate SUV in India. In June 2023, Honda will unveil their newest mid-size SUV, which will compete in the Indian market against models like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and others. The upcoming Honda SUV will reportedly be called the Elevate, according to reports. The brand has already teased the SUV, and some dealers have already begun taking unofficial bookings for the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV. When we called a few dealers, like Cherish Honda Rohini, they confirmed that they were accepting bookings for the upcoming SUV.

Honda Elevate SUV
The upcoming Honda SUV is anticipated to have a dynamic, modern look with bold front fascia and angular lines. Although its front and rear overhangs appear to be small, Honda is aiming to offer the longest possible wheelbase for spacious interiors. It will also stop taking design inspiration from the most recent global SUVs, the WR-V and HR-V. The SUV will be roughly 4.3 metres long.
A variety of features, including a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, a single pane sunroof, push-button start/stop, cruise control, and other features are likely to be included. We can anticipate the SUV to come equipped with the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, all-four disc brakes, ESP, and other safety features.

Upcoming Honda Elevate Engine
A 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine, which is already available in the Honda City sedan, is anticipated to power the next Honda SUV. A manual or CVT transmission will be mated to the engine, which should have a power output of about 119 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. Similarly to the City, we can anticipate the brand bringing the SUV with a hybrid powertrain.
Verdict: The new Honda SUV will aid the company in bettering its market position. Only two vehicles in Honda's current lineup are specific to a particular customer base. The brand will be able to cater to a wide range of customers with the new SUV. It will be able to compete with the hybrid versions of the Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara if it is introduced with a hybrid powertrain. What do you think of the upcoming Honda SUV?
