Jeep Meridian
Jeep has officially announced the arrival of its seven-seat SUV, the Jeep Meridian. The SUV could arrive in the country by mid-2022. The Meridian will be a Made in India, Made for India vehicle with a capable 2.0-litre diesel engine from the Compass. However, there will be a slight bump in power and peak torque figures from 170 PS and 350 Nm respectively. An 8-speed automatic gearbox is likely to be standard with an AWD system. The Meridian is sold in the international market by the name of Commander. We can also expect it with an option of a six-seat configuration. Jeep Meridian will be priced between Rs 35 lakh Rs 41 lakh and directly compete with Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kodiaq.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk
This SUV by the American carmaker is also slated to launch in 2022. Jeep Compass has demonstrated its capability and popularity in the Indian market. After the 2021 facelift, Jeep has discontinued the trail-rated version, Compass Trailhawk. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is set to return in a new guise with updated interior and exterior features. All-LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, a massive panoramic sunroof, power-folding ORVMs, 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, and other features are all expected. The same 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine that produces 170 horsepower and 350Nm of peak torque will be used. It will be equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission, as well as an Activ Drive 4x4 system with rock mode.
Hyundai Creta Facelift
In 2022, Hyundai is slated to release a facelift for the Creta, which has long been a popular vehicle in India. It was last updated in 2020, and it is now due for another upgrade. Hyundai is known for packing a lot of amenities into its facelifted vehicles, and the Creta 2022 is no exception. Hyundai's newest Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy, which can also be seen on Tucson's latest international spec version, will influence the Creta 2022's new front fascia. The engine system will not be altered in any way. The upgraded Creta will have the same 1.5 L turbo-diesel engine that produces 115 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque as the current model. Mahindra Scorpio Facelift
The roughness and aggressive styling of the Mahindra Scorpio are loved by SUV lovers. In 2022, the Mahindra Scorpio is ready to get a facelift. The photographs of the next Mahindra Scorpio test mule have been widely seen on the internet many times, providing us with some information about the upcoming SUV. The exterior and interior of the new Scorpio will be completely redesigned. The next-generation Scorpio will be available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The engines will most likely be combined with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The higher-spec trims are also expected to come with a 4x4 option.
Force Gurkha 5 Door
The Force Gurka is now one of India's most capable four-wheel-drive SUVs. It has a reasonable price tag, which makes it a suitable choice for SUV shoppers. This year will most likely see the premiere of the 2022 Force Gurkha five-door SUV. The Gurkha's new five-door variation will be powered by the same 2.6-liter diesel engine as the standard three-door model. This engine produces 91 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. This engine is mated to a Mercedes-derived 5-speed automatic transmission, which transfers power to all four wheels via the 4X4 drivetrain. The Force Gurkha five-door is expected to cost between Rs 15 Rs 16 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).

Hyundai Venue Facelift
Another, upcoming diesel SUV of 2022 from the house of Hyundai is the Hyundai Venue facelift. This c-SUV has made a mark for itself in the compact-SUV segment, and it is one of the most popular c-SUVs on the market. Hyundai has been working on a mid-life makeover for the Venue for quite some time. Recently, a near-production-ready test mule was spotted testing, revealing the new car's design revisions. From a technical standpoint, the new Venue should be identical to the current car. The facelift is projected to include a mix of 1.2 Lt-NA petrol, 1.0 Lt turbo-petrol, and 1.5 Lt turbo-diesel engines similar to those seen in the current generation car. The same 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed IMT, and 7-speed DCT gearboxes will be available as on the present car.
