Earlier it was being said that the Alcazar would be getting the 1.5L NA under the hood but considering its size, these rumours are not put at rest. It will continue with the 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine but it is to be seen if the power figures remain identical or not.
For those seeking performance, Hyundai will also bring a 1.4L turbcoharged petrol which generates 140 PS with 242 Nm of peak torque. It is to be seen if this engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual as an option or continue to be offered in a 7-speed DCT unit.
Once launched, Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in both 6 and 7 seat configurations and will rival the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus. This SUV is based on the Creta only but will now be increased in dimensions.
